Sticky | How to change game resolution and refresh rate in XP

Here is how to unlock all resolutions and refresh rates that RYL has. NOTE: Do not change the resolution or refresh rate beyond what your computer is capable of handling. If you are unsure what the max is, test with windows first.



Res and Depth Change [Easier]

Res, Refresh, and Depth Change [Harder]
This requires you to dive into the Windows registry. Be careful because the registry is a touchy system that can mess up your computer if you do it wrong. Do not do it if unless you can follow directions 100% correctly Smile In this example our video and game is set to 1280x1024, 75 Hz, 32 bit.


First, goto start menu and select run


Type in "regedit" to open the registry editor


Find" My Computer > HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > GamaSoft > MP-Client" and locate the 4 keys you would like to change.


To change a key, double click it and then select "decimal" (<--- IMPORTANT), then enter the number you want and hit ok.




Now the next time you start RYL it should be in the correct mode.
